MC2 Saint Barth

MC2 Saint Barth was born from the intuition of two Italian entrepreneurs eager to reinterpret the world of beachwear through the excellent craftsmanship and creativity typical of Made in Italy. Over the years, the brand has evolved to become a contemporary luxury brand capable of ranging from beachwear to ready-to-wear and accessories.

Today it is present with more than 70 monobrand boutiques and in hundreds of international luxury stores, recognizable for its iconic prints and innovative approach to bikini customization, designed as a true digital configurator.

The Game

    The partnership with Cooder
    The partnership with Cooder (a company now part of Impresoft Univerce) was born, which takes MC2 Saint Barth's needs and translates them into technology, with a collaborative and concerted approach to work, with the goal of creating a new project in Shopify Plus that lives up to the Brand's expectations and market needs.

    Customization at the center
    MC2 Saint Barth wanted the bikini configuration experience to be immediate, fluid and intuitive. Users needed to be able to compose their look in just a few steps, in a "playful" way and without slowing down page loading.

    A design designed with mobile-first in mind
    From the earliest design stages, work with the MC2 Saint Barth team focused on producing a completely mobile-first design. Thus was born a persistent bottom navigation mini-menu that allows easy switching between Men's, Women's, Kids and Bags, making smartphone navigation similar to that of an app.

    Integrating storytelling and performance
    We combined the business side with a visual and consistent storytelling: genre home page, 4/8 grid lookbook to enhance fantasies, "Stories" blog with dynamic sections, and a mosaic "Collaborations" landing page that can be filtered by theme (music, soccer, lifestyle).

    Grow globally, without tech debt
    With Shopify Markets, the marketing team today can independently manage local promotions and communications without the need for development work.

The Challenges

Highly variable catalog → Metafield Revolution
Each season Mc2 Saint Barth introduces new prints and themes ("motors," "football," "Christmas"). Work in collaboration with the internal team focused on creating thematic clusters and optimizing PLP, which now loads 50 percent faster thanks to a cleaner ERP and streamlined data flow.

Performance and customization: finding the balance
The introduction of the configurator with real-time preview risked weighing down navigation. Together with the MC2 team, a two-line PLP was designed that allows the user to select top and bottom and add them together with the cart, while maintaining speed and fluidity.

Autonomy to marketing
By linking Shopify Markets and the ad system, MC2 Saint Barth's marketing team can now manage banners and promolocations independently, without the need for code changes.

Telling partnerships

To enhance partnerships, a filterable "mosaic" landing page by passion point (soccer, music, lifestyle) with lazy load was designed with the MC2SB team, which doubled the average dwell time.

"Thumb-first" mobile browsing

With nearly 70% of traffic from smartphones, mobile browsing had to be smooth and natural. The fixed mini-menu made the experience app-like, increasing dwell time on the site and reducing friction points.
